So, I met with most teachers at NES. We have decided to form a PLC to work in collaborative teams to analyze and improve classroom practice to
ultimately impact student learning. We will meet monthly to
dialogue about "best practices" and their implications for student learning. We can discuss curricular outcomes , assess student achievement, select instructional materials, plan special projects (Family Math Night?), and pursue professional growth opportunities. I will meet with staff from all schools shortly to welcome them in this PLC. It is important to have all schools participate to ensure a smooth transition between schools. Our first meeting is currently scheduled for the first Weds, March 5th . 3:30 pm at NES. The topic is "Power of Ten" manipulatives.
Thank you to all the staff who signed up.
